Updates to financial supports available during COVID-19
 

*NEW* Canada Recovery Benefit
The new Canada Recovery Benefit begins September 27, 2020 and will be avilable for one year. It will provide $400 per week for up to 26 weeks to workers who are not eligible for EI. Click here for more details.
 

*NEW* Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit
The new Canada Recovery Sickness Benefit will provide $500 per week, for up to two weeks, effective September 27, 2020 for one year, for workers who are unable to work because they are sick or must self-isolate due to COVID-19. Click here for more details.
 

*NEW* Canada Recovery Caregiving Benefit
The new Canada Recovery Caregiver Benefit will provide $500 per week, per household, for up to 26 weeks effective September 27, 2020. This benefit is for people who are unable to work because they needed to provide care to children or support to other dependents who had to stay home due to the closure of schools, daycares and day programs. Click here for more details.
