Belonging Network (Agedout) Bursary Application Form

Bursary Information: This application form is for the following two bursaries available through the Belonging Network:

The Vancouver Film Studios Indigenous Bursary Program
This bursary was established in 2022 in partnership with Vancouver Film Studios. It provides financial assistance to Indigenous people who plan to pursue any kind of formal or informal career-related education or training in British Columbia. This includes, but is not limited to: post-secondary education, short or long certification programs, diplomas, skill-building programs and training programs. There is $12,000 of funding to be distributed. Bursary amounts vary depending on applicant needs. The maximum amount awarded to one applicant is $3,000. Eligibility requirements are:

You are currently a BC resident.
You identify as an Indigenous person.

The Joy MacPhail Youth Bursary:
This bursary provides financial support for post-secondary studies to a young person who joined their family by legal adoption or other forms of permanency. It was established in 2022 with funding from the Face the World Foundation. One $3,000 bursary will be awarded this year. Eligibility requirements are:

You are currently a BC resident.
You are a youth who has joined their family by legal adoption or another form of permanency.
You are between the ages of 17 and 26 by the date of the application deadline.
You are registered, or plan to be registered, in a post-secondary program at an accredited BC institution resulting in a degree or diploma.

NOTES:

You can apply for one or both using one application.
You are eligible to apply for these bursaries even if you are currently receiving funding from the Provincial Tuition Waiver Program, another bursary/scholarship/student loan, or through SAJE.
Recipients are required to provide proof of enrollment.
