The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) is hosting public engagement circles to gather recommendations on how to transform care planning policy and practice, with a focus on fostering belonging – to family, culture, and community – for Indigenous and non-Indigenous children and youth in care. The distinctions-based and cohort-based engagement circles will be held in August-September 2024.

Who can participate:

• Those who have spent time in Ministry care
• Parents, guardians, or family members of a current/former child/youth in care
• Those who support care planning for children and youth in care in the community (foster caregivers, youth workers, mentors, counsellors, clinicians, educators, doctors, etc.)
