A dentist will check for gum disease, cavities, and other dental or mouth problems. It's best to go every six months for a check up and cleaning. After you age out you'll need medical insurance to pay for a dentist.
How do I find a dentist?
- Go to the BC Dental Association site.
- Enter your preferences into the boxes like language, dental plans, and location.
- Click search.
- Scroll through the list and choose the dentist that's closest to you or just feels right!
- Call and make an appointment.
